  The Cross is a symbol of good.  The flowers symbolize love.
The flowers are God's gift to mankind.  The gift is free will. 
The serpent is wrapping itself around the Cross
with moving coils creating circles that form an upside down 6-6-6. 
The artist is probing the struggle of good and evil;
and our agony of dealing with free will.
